Hello everyone. Initially, I planned to make an article about the phenomenon of “forgotten” games, but when I started writing about Syndicate, I decided to tell you about this game. And yes, I know about “debriefing”. But personally, I believe that any review has the right to life. This time, spoilers for the game have been delivered. In this article, we’ll talk about the gameplay that CP2077 partially predicted, why the game failed, and much more.

Part II | Plot

2069. The world is ruled by corporations and "Syndicates". We play as Miles Kilo, an agent of the EuroCorp corporation. He comes to his senses in captivity of unknown agents who are trying to interrogate him, but, having not received the necessary information, they decide to execute him. Miraculously, we escape. It later turns out that all this was a combat exercise, where Jack Denham, the head of EuroCorp, tested Kilo’s combat skills, as well as his interaction with DART-6 – a microchip implant, a technological innovation of EuroCorp.

Our leader puts us in touch with another operative, Merit, and instructs us on the next task. We need to infiltrate Aspari, a rival corporation of EuroCorp, which wants to release a modified version of this very chip. Having reached and killed a certain Gary Chan, we find out that someone from our corporation warned him. The agents attempt to leave the complex by public transport, but are attacked by a high-ranking Aspari agent named Tatsuo Hamilton. Tatsuo wounds Merit, and we kill him, which is why Miles has to defend the escape train alone.

Returning, we find out that the mole https://bajicasino.co.uk/bonus/ is Lily Drol. We were assigned to keep an eye on her when she was kidnapped by operatives of the Cayman Global corporation. After fighting his way through the operatives, Kilo rescues Lily and puts her on the shuttle. For an unknown reason, the shuttle crashes before reaching the corporation building. Lily runs away and we’re trying to find her. When we get there, we find out that the terrorists she works for want to start a corporate war between EuroCorp, Aspari and others. Kilo kills Delaney, the head of the terrorists, and attempts to kill Drol, but they are both knocked out by EuroCorp operatives led by Merit, who storm the terrorists’ hideout.

We are sent to reprogram the chip, due to indecision, and there we learn the terrible truth: Kilo was taken away as a child from his parents, who were in debt to EuroCorp, and sent to the academy for future agents of the corporation, where they were taught to kill and brainwashed, instilling obedience and loyalty to the corporation. Lily helps him escape and she convinces him that he needs to end Denham. After treating Miles, it turns out that the DART-6 prototype located inside Kilo is unique, since the artificial intelligence of the chip only advises him on action scenarios, and does not subject him to control.

Kilo tries to get to Denham’s personal office, fighting his way through hostile EuroCorp agents, as well as through Aspari and Cayman Global fighters storming the tower. In the end, you kill our partner Merit, and almost approaching the office of the head of EuroCorp, Damen commits suicide.

Leaving the building, Drol asks us what we would like to do now that control over us has been lost. At this point, the game ends.

The plot itself is not bad, with a bunch of plot twists that you really don’t expect to see, and Mike Pondsmith’s precepts about the absence of states and the dominance of Corporations are observed. Like the wars of corporations, by the way, and their desire to enslave the world. Of course, the plot of HR and the original Deus can teach a lot from this plot (we will return to this), but there is nowhere without such.

Co-op Campaign

I also can’t help but mention it, because it’s connected to the main plot. The main point is that we need to promote our “Syndicate”.
